The Baku Sports Palace (the Palace of Handicrafts until 2015), built in 1974, consists of 3 floors. It has a total area of 32 000 m² and a capacity of 1736 people. After a major renovation, the building established a doping room, modern fudge courts (catering zones) and other necessary auxiliary units for spectators, athletes and press representatives.

Six elevator shafts were constructed and modern elevator systems were installed within the building. The complex has a full infrastructure so that spectators with disabilities and paralympic athletes can enjoy all areas of the building comfortably and without obstruction.

Design systems: The building is fully equipped with modern safety and management technologies. This includes the Building Management System (BMS), Automatic Fire Extinguishing and Fire Alarm Systems, as well as comprehensive Security Systems.
